This time of the year we are all about trying to get ourselves going again after our over indulgence at Christmas and New Year. Sometimes that can be hard going as our bodies are overloaded with waste and we are less active due to the cold. Here are some tips to get you going:
- Acupuncture. A course in acupuncture will get your bowels moving regularly and leave you feeling more energised and enthusiastic about your health
- Eat a plant based diet. Eating primarily vegetables and fruit will help soften stools and make it easier for your body to eliminate waste.
- Drink more water. Cut out sugar drinks, caffeine drinks and alcohol to promote softer stools and to help cleanse your organs. When waste builds up in your organs you will become tired, have headaches, have cravings and find your energy will have peaks and troughs rather than be steady and reliable throughout the day.
- Breath fresh air. Getting outside, even in wet weather, and breathing in fresh air helps you eliminate waste and gain more energy. Your energy can only increase if you increase the amount of oxygen you breath in.
I think that eliminating waste is the most important job your body has because doing this means it can do all the other jobs. By eliminating waste you are providing a clean and free flowing environment in which your organs can function optimally.
